How they play
Aura Widebody is the Friday we keep recommending for doubles — foam, $119 after code, faster to live with than Aura Pro money. Axiom Widebody is the 16×8 Armor Grit Engage: shorter handle than Axiom elongated, same $180 ticket, built so the face is not bald in a season.
If you want plush Engage foam, this is the wrong article — read Axiom vs X2 or X2 Widebody reviews instead.
Who should buy which
Aura: first real foam, rec / 3.5–4.0 doubles, people who will actually use a $10 code.
Axiom WB: players who already bounce off peel-ply and will spend $180 for grit + Engage support. Elongated Axiom if you serve and drive more than you speed up.
Bottom line
Aura is the conversion paddle. Axiom Widebody is the grit upgrade in the same shape family. My brother would buy Aura first and only move if the face dies.
