V-Sol Tour: the newest Vatic
The Tour line is a floating EPP foam core with an EVA perimeter ring under Vatic's Evergrit face, which is built to hold its texture longer than the peel-ply on older Vatic paddles. All three shapes are 16mm, about 8.0 oz, USAP approved, and measured 2,350–2,370 RPM in our spin data.
Bloom is the Tour to buy for doubles: the best control and forgiveness of the three. Flash is the hybrid middle ground and comes with a standard 5.3" or long 5.6" handle. Tour Flash is not the V-SOL Pro Flash
The names trip people up. The V-Sol Tour Flash is the new Evergrit hybrid. The V-SOL Pro Flash is the older Gen 4 EPP hybrid with a raw Toray T700 face: 7.9 oz, a quick 112 swing weight, and the highest score of any Vatic we have tested (8.7). It is still one of the best paddles under $100, especially for hand speed. It needs an overgrip on its thin 5.3" handle.
