The Luzz Pro-Cannon 16mm is Luzz's budget Gen 3 elongated power paddle. It delivers a 61 mph serve (92nd percentile), solid 6.6 twist weight for an elongated frame, and classic Gen 3 thermoformed response at just $109, or about $93 with code PRH (Save 15%). The trade-off is a very head-heavy balance and above-average swing weight that slows hand speed. For players who want genuine power on a budget, the Cannon is one of the best value propositions in the Gen 3 space.
The Verdict
Gen 3 power at a Gen 2 price.
The Cannon punches way above its weight. A 61 mph serve speed for $109 is harder to find than it should be.

How It Plays
Power and pop lead this one.
Against our database
Compared with the 126 paddles we have scored.
On-Court Feel
The Cannon is a classic Gen 3 thermoformed paddle. There is a hollow crack on contact, immediate energy return, and the elongated shape gives real leverage on serves and drives. At $109, the serve speed data speaks for itself: 61 mph slots in with paddles costing twice as much. The 6.6 twist weight is actually better than many elongated paddles at this price, giving it decent forgiveness on off-center hits. The biggest limitation is the 119.55 swing weight and 25.1 cm balance point. This is a head-heavy, slower-swinging paddle that rewards plow-through over quick hands.
Performance & Testing
The Luzz Pro-Cannon went through our standard on-court protocol - drills, rec play, and at least one tournament match. How it plays reflects consensus feedback from the group, not a single reviewer's opinion.
Grit & Durability
Standard T700 raw carbon peel-ply surface. Initial bite is solid and wears at a normal rate for the price tier. Luzz includes a 1-year manufacturing-defect warranty and USAP certification.
Who It's For
Budget-conscious power players, steady hitters who want effortless depth on drives, and Gen 3 fans who don't want to spend $200+. Skip if you want a fast-hands kitchen paddle, prefer head-light balance, or are still developing your soft game.
- you want plow-through on drives and serves: a 119 swing weight
- you want a strong paddle on a budget: $92.65 with PRH
- Maneuverability or control comes first for you. The Luzz Cannon 2 M1 is stronger there ($101.15 with PRH).
- Spin comes first for you. The Vatic Pro V-Sol Tour Elongated 16mm is stronger there ($99.99 with PRH).

Bottom Line
One of the best value Gen 3 paddles available: real power at $109 that plays like a $180+ paddle on serves and drives.
If you know you want Gen 3 power on a budget, the Cannon is an easy pick. If you want faster hands or a control-first profile, the Glider 2026 is the better Luzz alternative.
