The Luzz Inferno 2 M1 is a 16mm elongated Gen 4 foam paddle (MPP + TPE) with a very head-heavy 121.5 swing weight and ~6.25 twist weight. It is built to hit through the court, not win lightning hands battles. $239 stock, about $203.15 with code PRH (15% off) at luzzpickleball.com/PRH. UPA-A. Confirm USAP on the listing if you need it.
The Verdict
The new Inferno: foam pop with a serious swing-weight tax.
My brother called this one a truck. It finishes balls, then asks you to wait on the next volley.

How It Plays
Power and pop lead this one.
Against our database
Compared with the 126 paddles we have scored.
On-Court Feel
Foam dwell is the first thing you notice. Drives pocket, then jump. Serves and put-aways have real mass behind them because the balance sits head-heavy (~25 cm class). That is the point of this shape.
The cost is the kitchen. Swing weight 121.5 is among the heaviest we will list. Counters and resets ask for earlier prep. Off-center contact is playable (TW ~6.25) but not widebody-stable. If you already like the older Pro 4 Inferno and wanted a more uniform foam hit, this is that update, not a Glider replacement.
Performance & Testing
The Luzz Inferno 2 M1 16mm went through our standard on-court protocol - drills, rec play, and at least one tournament match. How it plays reflects consensus feedback from the group, not a single reviewer's opinion.
Grit & Durability
Unibody foam with a carbon face. Early grit is average-class, not DiamondGrit / Crystal Blue endurance. Wipe the face. Luzz's 15% PRH code is the value story. $239 list is premium without it.
Who It's For
Singles and attack-first doubles players who generate their own pace and want elongated foam.
Skip if you live in hands battles, want a light swing, or are still building consistent center contact. Start with the Glider 2026 if control and hand speed matter more.
- you want plow-through on drives and serves: a 121.5 swing weight
- Maneuverability or control comes first for you. The Luzz Inferno Frozen is stronger there ($211.65 with PRH).
- Spin comes first for you. The Spartus P1 Elongated is stronger there ($197.99 with PRH).
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Gen 4 foam dwell with real put-away mass
- Elongated reach and head-heavy plow
- PRH takes $239 to about $203
- Follow-up to the Pro 4 Inferno with a more even foam hit
Cons
- Swing weight 121.5 is a handful at the kitchen
- Head-heavy, not a reset specialist
- Spin data still thinner than our lab-heavy catalog paddles
- UPA-A first. Check USAP if your events require it
- Glider is easier for most doubles players
