The Verdict
Proton's $199 elongated — spin and pace, not a soft-game coach.
We kept this one for serve-and-spin days, then put it down when the kitchen got messy.

How It Plays
Spin and power lead this one.
Against our database
Compared with the 126 paddles we have scored.
On-Court Feel
Static weight is light (~7.8 oz) but the elongated face still swings 116.8. Serves sit around 60 mph class and spin is legitimately above average. Punch volleys have pop if you catch the middle.
Miss toward the edge and the face twists. This is not a widebody safety blanket. Soft game is playable if you already have compact mechanics. It is not the paddle we hand a developing 3.5 who sprays resets.
Performance & Testing
The Proton Project Coyote 15mm went through our standard on-court protocol - drills, rec play, and at least one tournament match. How it plays reflects consensus feedback from the group, not a single reviewer's opinion.
Grit & Durability
Gen 3 foam-enhanced honeycomb, not full unibody foam. Expect a livelier, slightly hollower note than Coral Pro or X2. Grit is average roughness — wipe it. Proton's code is PRH10, not PRH.
Who It's For
Players who already shape the ball and want elongated spin at $179 with the code.
Skip if mishits are common, you want plush foam control, or you will mix this code up with PRH — Proton is PRH10 only.
- you want plow-through on drives and serves: a 116.8 swing weight
- Forgiveness or control comes first for you. The HEAD Radical PRO EX15 Elongated is stronger there ($170 with PRH15).
- Spin comes first for you. The 11SIX24 Hurache-X Power 2 is stronger there ($199.99 with PRH).
